Our tour excursion starting from Dahab late in the evening at around 10:00 pm (to be confirmed) and drive to Taba. After ‘meet and assist’ we set out from Taba borders driving along Arava Valley towards the Dead Sea in Jordan to stop for a short break. You may take a short dip in the unique and healthy water of the Dead Sea. Afterwards, we ascend to Jerusalem, the Holy City. The beautiful sacred tour starts with an amazing panoramic view seen from the Mount of Olives which is considered to be a good place for an introduction to the city and its history. We visit the holy sites of the three monotheistic religions represented in Jerusalem. Stand before the Wailing Wall that represents the last remnants of the Jewish Temple destroyed by the Romans where you can meet different sects of Jews who do their religious rituals at this sacred place. It is opened for visitors also. We ascend to the Temple Mount, where we can look at the famous Dome of the Rock then continue through the Arab market (also Suq in Arabic) to the Via Dolorosa, Jesus’ way of Grief, which leads to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, in which, according to the Christian tradition, Jesus was crucified and buried. The tour finishes at 6:30 pm at least. Then we drive through the new city towards the Dead Sea then back to Eilat, a busy port as well as a popular resort. From there, we drive to Aqaba Port border and then to Aqaba city. Take an overnight there in a 2 or 3 stars hotel. Overnight: Hotel
Meals: Lunch
After having breakfast in the early morning, we will transfer from Aqaba to Petra by an air-conditioned bus. Upon arrival in Petra, we begin our 2 to 3 hours guided tour. We will enter Petra, an extremely alluring city sculptured in red rose rocks among the mountains showing the Nabataeans (also Nabateans) civilization who were ancient people of North Arabia, on foot, through al-Siq, a narrow gigantic gorge that winds its way one mile ending at Petra's most intricately decorated ruin, Al Khazneh (the Treasury); the Roman Theatre, and the Royal Tombs. Among, the Royal Tombs stands the Rainbow Tomb which is a must for photographers. A wide range of hundreds of monuments, triclinium, and obelisks, all carved from the multi-shaded, rose red sandstone. That is why Petra is called the Red-Rose city. A walk through the colonnade of Roman Byzantine, Petra brings us to the city centre. Afterwards, we continue our tour to the hill of Al-Habis, crowned with a crusader-era fort, for a breathtaking panoramic view of deep gullies and uniquely coloured rock formations. After having lunch at Movenpick or Marriott hotel, we will drive back to Aqaba Port at 4 pm to cross the border to Eliat and to drive back to Taba. Upon arrival in Taba, you will be met and transferred back to Dahab.
