Take an over day tour to Cairo from Alexandria Port by which you can visit the Islamic and Coptic sites in Old Cairo. A shore excursion to Cairo from Alexandria Port includes the medieval Islamic fortification Saladin Citadel of Cairo with its grand view of the city, Coptic churches and Islamiq Mosques in Old Cairo. 

Itinerary 

Tour Egypt Travel® representative will pick you up from Alexandria Port by the cruise exit door, holding a sign with your name. Enjoy a private shore excursion and day trip from Alexandria to Cairo for approximately 3 hours by an air-conditioned vehicle with one stop in the middle of the way, in case you need a rest. Your excursion will start by visiting Cairo Islamic and Coptic sites. Our professional Egyptologist tour guise will take you on a private tour to discover the most exquisite churches and mosques in Old Cairo. First, visit Saladin Citadel of Cairo where you can find the famous Mohamed Ali Mosque of alabaster, and
Al-Gowhara Palace (also Bijou Palace) built by Mohamed Ali in 1814. Then proceed to Mosque of Ibn Tulun, and take lunch in a good quality restaurant. Afterwards, we will move on to Old Cairo where you will discover Babylon Fortress built through the reign of Roman Emperors Tarjan to Arcadius (98 AD – 395 AD), the Hanging Church of Saint Virgin Mary, Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, one the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt built in the 4^th century. At the end of your tour by the largest collecation of Egyptian Christian articrafts found in the Coptic Museum. Return to Alexandria for final departure cruise.

Cancellation Policy

• TourEgyptTravel® does not charge a cancellation fee for tours and excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or reasons beyond control. If cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons and TourEgyptTravel® has already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.
