Highlights
Unravel
the secrets of relief carving on the walls of Kalabsha Temple (also Temple
of Mandulis) with an atmosphere of excessive holiness like relief of Augustus
and the Nubian god Mandulis! Around 50 kilometers south of Aswan
lies Temple of Kalabsha on the Nile west bank built around 30 BC;
the early aeon of Roman. The Nubia Museum (also the International
Museum of Nubia) is considered to be one of the most important modern Egyptian
museums featuring exhibits and artifacts from the surrounding sites such as
the High Dam. The Nubia Museum harbors the history of the "Land
of Gold" as the word Nubia in the Hieroglyphic. The
architecture of the Museum, awarded the Agha-Khan award of
architecture 2001, and its enclosure walls evoke traditional Nubian
village architecture before the region was flooded by Lake Nasser.
