On the west bank of the River Nile lays a small town called Dendera famous for its Greco-Roman temple complex known in ancient Egypt as Lunet or Tantere. Dendera Temple Complex is one of the best preserves temples with an area of 40,000 square meters. Glorify this sacred place at the entrance of Dendera Temple and enjoy Reliefs of Cleopatra VII and her son Julius Caesar, Caesarion. Temple of Hathor is the main temple inside Dendera Complex where you can also find Denderah Zodiac, pay a visit to a series of tombs in Dendera necropolis and crypt ornamentation.

Have an interesting tour in Temples of Abydos west of the Nile in one of the most ancient cities of Upper Egypt. Keep an eye on image of Seti I from his temple in Abydos as well as Abydos Table with seventy-six names of kings in Ancient Egypt. Explore the ruins of the Great Osiris Temple, the temple of Ramses II where you can find ivory seated statue of Pharaoh Cheops.

Itinerary

Tour Egypt Travel representative will pick you up from your Luxor city hotel to take you for a tour from the past where you can visit Temples of Abydos, which was the cult center of Osiris, god of the dead, and the place Pharaos of the first Dynasty were buried.  Set the stage to Temple of Seti I that was dedicated to six major gods; Osiris, Isis, Horus, Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakty and Ptah. It is located in Abydos city 420 km to the south of Cairo in Sohag city, and 135 km from Luxor. Then enjoy the paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos. Then continue to Dendara to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. The temple is located in Dendara which is situated at the north of Luxor.

If cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons and Tour Egypt Travel® has already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.
